“Inverway Station” and “Riveren Station” have been part of the Australian pioneering story, and the Underwood Family have dedicated their lives building these properties to a substantial cattle holding. Now as a combined enterprise carrying in excess of 40,000 mixed Brahman cattle the properties are being offered for sale individually on the 6th July 2012, by Ray White Rural.
Located in the southern Victoria River District of the Northern Territory, “Inverway Station” and “Riveren Station”to the east, are adjoining, but operated individually. This allows for the flexibility to offer the properties on an individual basis with an intending purchaser being able to buy either or both.
“Inverway Station” which is now a 2,538 square kilometre holding was the original home of the Underwood Family when they moved to the Northern Territory in 1956, was purchased by the John and Terry Underwood Family 6 years ago to add to their “Riveren Station” holding which is 3,016 square kilometres.“Inverway Station” will be offered WIWO with a herd of 17,000 mixed Brahman cattle and full working station plant and “Riveren Station”with 23,000 mixed Brahman cattle and full working plant.
Both the properties feature a balance of open black soil plains with pastures including Mitchell, Queensland Blue, Silky Brown Top with soft Spinifex grass in the red country. The balance in the country and the abundant natural water combined with 47 bores makes the country virtually drought proof.
The properties have established and sustained breeding herds, and are regarded as well managed pastoral properties with strong production history. Improvements have been designed and implemented for ease of management over many years.
The Northern Territory tenure system gives security of title with its Perpetual Pastoral Lease, which is unique in parcels of land of this size.
