Going from Strength to Strength

By Nyree Reushle

This week Ray White Rural Queensland proudly announced Jez McNamara’s progression to directorship in the business. Ray White Rural Queensland has enjoyed one of its best ever years and is experiencing substantial growth.

At the announcement Bruce Douglas said, ‘the last 12 months have been very strong and extremely satisfying and I welcome Jez as a partner in the business. He is a talented and driven property marketer and his rural background has been the secret to his success – tenacity, resourcefulness, sheer hard work and country ethics’.

Jez has the bush in his blood and fondly recalls his jackarooing days on Wellshot Station, Longreach. After managing cattle properties on the Darling Downs and the Brisbane Valley his next destination, London, could not have been more of a contrast to Longreach.

In London, Jez worked for a multinational firm with interests across various categories and property assets including shopping centres, industrial and commercial as well as a global rural portfolio. Not surprisingly, the rural portfolio was Jez’s favourite with real estate transactions being the part of the job he enjoyed most.

On his return to Australia in 2009 he pursued a rural property marketing career and joined Ray White Rural in August of that year. Jez was attracted to Ray White Rural’s unique culture that embraces the advancement of young people and provides a structure that rewards hard work and allows ownership in the business. ‘Ownership in the business has given me the power to control my own destiny and I’m excited by the opportunity Bruce Douglas has given me,’ states Jez.

Since 2009 Jez has proven to be a talented rural property marketer with an impeccable track record in converting listings into sales.

Ray White Rural Chairman Paul White welcomed Jez’s directorship and spoke highly of Ray White Rural Queensland’s current success ‘we are so proud of Jez’s progression and under Bruce Douglas’ leadership, Ray White Rural Queensland is extremely well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that the current market presents’.
