Glenprairie Auction Generates Interest

By Veronica Martin

Glenprairie auction generates interest, but is still available

One of Australia’s oldest and largest unrestricted freehold pastoral holdings is a little closer to having just it’s 6th owner over the past one and half centuries. Glenprairie Station, one our country’s largest and consistent weekly suppliers of organic beef to domestic and international markets, was presented at auction in Brisbane last Friday, by vendor Sir Graham McCamley.

The marketing program attracted considerable interest from local and overseas parties, some of which were represented at the auction, either in person or on the telephone. The property of some 46,123 hectares (113,0971 acres) over 76 titles of which 73 are unrestricted freehold, was passed in at $55 million, with consideration now given to all offers over and above this level.

Further information including a detailed information memorandum can be obtained from the G.E. McCamley Head office at 87 Bolsover Street Rockhampton, or Richard Brosnan on 0400 361 114 or visit
