Properties like “Riverbend” at Beachmere don’t come around too often. Combining 126 acres of lush grazing land with a deep water river flowing through, Bribie Island and Moreton Bay a stone’s throw away, and the conveniences of Brisbane just down the road, it’s well worth a look.
Peter Douglas of Ray White Rural Queensland lists the property and can’t speak highly enough of it. “This absolute waterfront property is highly desirable; a haven for fishing, crabbing, cattle and birdlife.”
“Riverbend’s” 51.4 hectares is just the spot for you and your family to make a new home for yourselves. With the river flowing alongside it’s green pastures, it’s hard to think of a better spot to wet a line after tending to the property’s 80 cows and calves. Or better yet, jump in your boat and make your way only 4kms down the river to Moreton Bay.
In local area there are several options for schooling, including Beachmere State School providing grades prep ~ 7, and the Moreton Bay Biralli Steiner School, both in Beachmere itself. For the bigger kids Morayfield State High and Caboolture State High are both less than 15 minutes away.
After work and school are done, why not get involved in some local sport playing for the Beachmere Pelicans Junior Rugby League Club or if fancy yourself as pretty handy with a rod, contact the Beachmere Sports Fishing Club where you can test yourself in their monthly fishing competitions. If indoor sports are more your thing, the Caboolture Indoor Sports Centre offers indoor cricket, netball, soccer and beach volleyball for kids and adults.
One of the best things about Beachmere is that it’s just a nice quiet spot with great people. Beachmere local Charlie Sparrow says, “…it’s quiet here, it’s safe for children and most people know each other.”, “All the shops and businesses work as one. Here it’s G’day, how are you?”. The area is also quite community minded with an active neighbourhood watch program as well as Lions and Lioness’ clubs.
If you’re looking for a great meal and a fun night out, be sure to stop in at the Beachmere Tavern. The tavern runs weekly meal specials Monday through Thursday nights. There’s also an indoor and outdoor play area for the kids while the adults catch up over a drink.
So why not give “Riverbend” a look? With it’s great grazing opportunities and quiet coastal lifestyle, it might just be right for you. To find out more contact Peter Douglas and the team at Ray White Rural Queensland.
